Deletei believe that i should be the one walking home with the HGUC kit up for grabs not just because i am a great fan of the Gundam series' deep technological lore, but because i am also fond of collecting the plamo recreations of stand-out MS from its different timelines, which make me live out those awesome moments from their respective series.
ReplyDeleteand as for what HGUC kit i'd like to have, i definitely would want to have the Sinanju. i know, the suit is kind of mainstream and has a huge following, but the reason why i chose Sinanju aside from its highly intricate design is that the MS itself as a whole is a marvelous piece of mechanical art - the vibrant burning hue of red paired with a dab of black and trimmed with gold - its visage reminiscent of a roman general from the ages of caesar, complete with the sinister aura its stance provides. add in a pilot with moves similar to the Red Comet, and voila, you've got one insane piece of poetry in motion. if that isn't convincing enough, i also have deep respect for its mechanical designer, Mr. Katoki Hajime, for his beliefs in mechanical design.

ReplyDeletei would win this contest (hell, i never won a gundam contest in my entire life yet), i would like to take home an HGUC ZZ GUNDAM. i want to challenge myself by building a complex kit like ZZ. i've been building gunpla since i was 12 and i never look back. i'm joining gundam model kit contest since 2 yrs ago and all i got was a participation certificate. but hey, building your contest entry is really fun and very enjoyable! that's what make me smile at the end of the day. that's why i want to walk away with this HGUC kit.

if i were to choose, i'd pick the 1/144 banshee destroy mode or 1/144 sinanju, why? as a fan of the unicorn ova, the story behind those two MS are simply amazing as well as the role they played in the actual story..
ReplyDeleteas a hobbyist, i simply love those suits, and probably changed my mind about the 1/144 hguc of today and got me to add them in my collection.. compared to their MG counterpart, they dont fall behind that much in terms of details and articulation.. Also they are good for budget conscious or for people who has little shelf space like i do.. another reason, particularly with the banshee is that you are able to convert (it except for the head) to the unicorn gundam, and with 3rd party companies releasing the add on parts(bazooka for the sinanju and gatling guns for the unicorn) they really are too far behind from the MGs..

ReplyDeleteGeara Zulu, big fan of the design. Why should I win? I've been doing this for almost two decades, and I'm proud to say that each and every one of my kits are intact to this day. From the boxes to the scraps, to the dilapidated and to the new, I account for each and every one them - keeping a catalog and a sense of profound history with each kit and how I acquired it as my own. If given the opportunity to have the Geara it will not only have a place it can call home, it will definitely become a permanent member of my gunpla family and a part of the "Lotur Army" tradition. :)

DeleteThe kit that I would like is the unicorn (destroy mode) or (unicorn mode). I chose this because this is the gundam that brought back my interest on gundams. And also it's fabulous! It's a freakin' unicorn! Also I think the psycho frame is a huge step forward for the gundam universe.

btw I want to have the God Gundam :D, I know that it is an HGFC but it is in line with HGUC :D...
I really love that MS in a sense that it has a simple sleek design as you can see and looking at it makes you feel like having a burning hands that you want to put on somebodies FACE and say loud and proud God Finger!!!

Me and my brother don't have any enemy mobile suits yet.. and I think the Sinanju is an excellent (and GLORIOUS!) choice of an enemy mobile suit, as it is also another variant of the most fearsome and handsome guy in the UC series.. Char Aznable!
I am also an HG 1/144 enthusiast as it saves space for our house and many MS in HG are not in the MG line. ^^

ReplyDeleteIt's a good bargain for being two kits in one and it will a perfect gift for my special someone, for his birthday, who is very much enthusiastic in customizing these kind of kits.
I believe it has potential to be eye catching if creatively customized (colored etc.) since the kit itself (original form) doesn't attract much buyers.
If given this kit, I'm sure that me and my bf will be up to the challenge to innovate and customize this kit to a new level.
